Introduction and application of CAS 6276-54-6 | 3-Chloropropylamine HCl
3-Chloropropylamine HCl is a hydrochloric acid salt of the amine 3-chloropropylamine. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in human colon cancer cells, and it has been proposed that this effect may be due to inhibition of protein synthesis by blocking the translation of mRNA into proteins.
3-Chloropropylamine HCl is used as an anti-inflammatory agent in bowel disease. It is also used as a diagnostic tool in the study of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and HIV infection, where it can be used to identify activated macrophages present in lesions. 3-Chloropropylamine HCl has also been shown to have some antiviral activity against herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1).
3-Chloropropylamine Hydrochloride is a building block that has been used as a modifier to N-enrich an activated carbon to increase adsorption. 3-Chloropropylamine Hydrochloride has also been used in as a reactant for the synthesis of cyclic sulfamide derivatives to be used as 11β-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase 1 inhibitors for potential treatment of metabolic syndrome and diabetes.
