Introduction and application of CAS No.2292-16-2 | Neferine
Neferine is a natural compound that has shown significant cytotoxicity and apoptosis pathway inhibition in various cancer cells. It also has minimal toxicity and may be used as a therapeutic agent for various cancers, including squamous cell carcinoma, papillary muscle carcinoma, and 3T3-L1 preadipocytes.
Neferine is also a p-glycoprotein inhibitor that can increase the concentration of camp in the tumor cells. This could lead to an improved treatment regimen for patients with lung cancer. Neferine is extracted from angelica dahurica and purified by chromatography. It was found to have significant inhibitory effects on the polymerase chain reaction in vitro, inhibiting DNA synthesis in both human and mouse cells.
