Purpose
Amberlyst series acid catalyst is a new type of strong acid catalyst specifically designed to replace concentrated sulfuric acid in organic chemical synthesis reactions, including amberlyst15, amberlyst35, amberlyst36, amberlyst45, amberlyst21, amberlyst26 and other series. It is widely used in the catalysis of various chemical reactions such as esterification, etherification, alkylation, acetal, ketal, hydrolysis, hydration, ring-opening telomerization, etc.
Product Composition
The catalyst is a bead formed by suspension copolymerization of styrene and divinylbenzene under the action of a special pore-forming agent, and then undergoes a sulfonation reaction to obtain a macroporous network-like polymer with sulfonic acid groups.
In organic synthesis reactions, compared with concentrated sulfuric acid as a catalyst, it has the following
(1) Non-corrosive and no harm to equipment.
(2) It can be reused, especially suitable for continuous devices.
(3) The product is easy to separate. After the reaction is completed, the product and catalyst can be separated by just filtering.
(4) There is no waste water discharge and no need for neutralization and washing.
(5) Good low-temperature activity, strong selectivity, and few side reactions.
