They are mainly used to produce various types of anion and cation exchange resins. The above ion exchange resins can be used for hard water softening, pure water manufacturing, and extraction from sea water. Decolorize salt, refined amino acids and antibiotics, glucose, and sugar, and remove metal ions from wastewater.
It is also used as a modifier for the above-mentioned resins to improve the resin's heat resistance, impact resistance, friction resistance, coloration resistance, high strength, transparency, refractive index, etc. Generally, p-divinylbenzene has a faster cross-linking speed, and the higher the para-mer content, the better the resin properties will be. In addition, it is also used in wood processing and in the manufacture of flame retardants.
