Nitrile Rubber 丨Acrylonitrile Butadiene (NBR)

Nitrile Rubber 丨Acrylonitrile Butadiene (NBR)

Nitrile rubber is widely used in various oil-resistant products, such as sealing rings, hoses, shoe soles, conveyor belts, printing rollers, oil seal linings, etc. Nitrile rubber is a semiconductor rubber with good antistatic properties and can be widely used in printing rubber rollers, textile rubber rollers, textile rubber rings, etc. ˆ Nitrile rubber and PVC can be blended to produce foam products such as thermal insulation pipes, cold insulation pipes, and yoga mats.

Product Introduction

Introduction and application of Nitrile Rubber 丨Acrylonitrile Butadiene (NBR)

Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR) is a kind of synthetic rubber. It is a copolymer made of acrylonitrile and butadiene monomers. It has excellent oil resistance (especially alkane oil), high wear resistance and gas resistance. It has the advantages of good tightness, good heat resistance, strong adhesion, and good aging resistance. The disadvantages are poor low temperature resistance, poor ozone resistance, poor insulation, and slightly low elasticity, so it is not suitable for use as insulation materials.

Further Comments
At temperatures up to 100°C or, with special compounding, up to 120°C, nitrile rubber provides an economic material having a high resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbon oils and fuels. From the different grades available, the higher the acrylonitrile (ACN) content, the higher the oil resistance, but the poorer the low temperature flexibility. It has high resilience and high wear resistance but only moderate strength. It has limited weathering resistance, and poor aromatic oil resistance. It can generally be used down to about -30°C, but special grades can operate at lower temperatures.
