Introduction and application of Chain extender BTCE-9013

BTCE-9013 is a polymeric epoxy functional chain extender agent. The epoxy functional group in its structure can expand the polymer chain by reaction with the terminal hydroxyl, carboxyl and ammonia groups in the resin to improve the resin characteristic viscosity, mechanical properties and inhibit polymer hydrolysis, and can be used for food contact materials.

Chain extender BTCE-9013 is a polymerized epoxy functionalized chain extender. The epoxy functional groups in its structure can achieve polymer chain extension by reacting with the carboxyl terminated, hydroxyl terminated, and amino terminated in the long chain molecules of the resin, achieving the goal of improving the mechanical properties, characteristic viscosity, and inhibiting polymer hydrolysis

It can be used as a food contact material.

BTCE-9013 is generally extruded by blending with modified resin using twin screw or single screw extruders.

The recommended dosage of Polybutylene Adipate Terephthalate (PBAT), polylactic acid (PLA), Polybutylene succinate (PBS), poly propylene carbonate (PPC), polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) and other bio based and biodegradable plastics is 0.2-0.8phr,

The recommended dosage for condensation polymerization recycling plastics such as polyamide (PA), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), polycarbonate (PC), and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is 0.2-1.5phr,

The specific dosage depends on the number of active functional groups in the resin and the performance requirements of the product.
