Introduction and application of CAS No.38205-55-9 | 4-METHYL-5-ACETYL THIAZOLE
4-METHYL-5-ACETYL THIAZOLE is a small molecule that has been shown to have neuroprotective properties. It is orally administered and has a pharmacokinetic profile that exhibits high tissue concentrations and low plasma concentrations. The study of 4-METHYL-5-ACETYL THIAZOLE was conducted using the time curves of locomotor activity in rats. The study found that the drug had no effect on spontaneous locomotor activity or on the carotid artery after the administration of an oral dosage. Demethylation of 4-METHYL-5-ACETYL THIAZOLE was observed after 2 hours. The demethylated product was found to have neuroprotective effects comparable to those of methylphenidate in rats with cerebral infarction induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion.
