Introduction and application of CAS: 18472-87-2 | Phloxine B Acid Red 92
Fluorescent pink (Phloxine), also known as rose red; root bark red; edible red pigment No. 104 - Japanese name, is an artificial organic synthetic pigment. Fluorescent pink is an azo acid dye that appears as red powder. It is soluble in water to form a bright red solution, slightly soluble in alcohol and fibrinolyticin, and insoluble in other organic solvents. It appears blue-red when exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, and becomes yellowish-red when diluted; it becomes an orange-red solution when exposed to concentrated nitric acid, and then turns orange; it forms a red precipitate when exposed to concentrated hydrochloric acid, and dissolves after dilution.
Uses: Orange-red pigment for coloring, widely used in candies, cakes, fish cakes, sausages, confectionery products, and biscuits in Japan. Not suitable for beverages, hard candies, etc. with a pH value below 4.5. Dosage 5~100mg/kg. Used for coloring paints, paint printing, paints, inks, plastic products, cultural and educational supplies, etc. Biological dyeing, adsorption indicator, fluorescent indicator, mercury determination. Purpose: Adsorption indicator for Mallory's fluorescent pink-methylene blue staining; Kreyberg's method for keratin and mucus.
