Hydroxyl-terminated hyperbranched polyesters are classified into four types based on their chemical structures, namely H10, H20, H30 and H40. They are respectively based on aliphatic hyperbranched polyesters, heat-resistant aliphatic hyperbranched polyesters, aromatic hyperbranched polyesters and heat-resistant aromatic hyperbranched polyesters as their skeletons. Solid at room temperature, high activity, reinforcing and toughening, non-volatile, surface hydroxyl groups are easy to modify and functionalize.
Hydroxyl-terminated hyperbranched polymers can be used as reinforcing and toughening agents, curing agents and rheology modifiers for high molecular materials such as epoxy resins, acrylic resins, polyurethane resins, phenolic resins and cyclic sulfide resins. It can also be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of functional polymer materials. It can also be used as a pigment dispersant and a rheology modifier for fibers.
