Performance and use
Hexafluorodiamine is the preferred diamine monomer for synthesizing fluorine-containing polyimide. The hygroscopicity and dielectric constant of fluorine-containing polyimide synthesized from hexafluorodiamine are smaller than those synthesized from other diamines. Polyimide is soluble and is widely used as matrix resin, adhesive, coating, UV-resistant material, oxidation-resistant electrical insulation film, high-strength fiber, new electronics, and optical communication components. The diamine monomer necessary for color transparent polyimide filter membrane can be used as a permeable membrane for atmospheric carbon dioxide capture and gas transport.
