Tetrahydro-2(1H)-pyrimidinone is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of heterocyclic compounds. Tetrahydro-2(1H)-pyrimidinone can be prepared by condensation of two molecules of formaldehyde, followed by hydrolysis. This compound has also been shown to have biological properties such as wastewater treatment and nitrogen fixation. The x-ray diffraction data show that this molecule has nitrogen atoms in its structure.
