Thiamine hydrochloride (VitaminB1, VB1), also known as thiamine, is the earliest water-soluble vitamin purified by people. Its chemical name is 3-[(4-amino-2-methyl-5-pyrimidinyl)-methyl chloride ]-5-(2-Hydroxyethyl)-4-methylthiazolium hydrochloride has the effect of maintaining normal glucose metabolism. It is often used clinically to prevent and treat beriberi caused by VB1 deficiency. It is also used for neuritis, Adjuvant treatment for indigestion and other symptoms.
