Introduction and application of CAS No.17334-58-6 | Pelargonin chloride
Pelargonin chloride is an organic compound that is a derivative of cinnamic acid. It is a natural pigment found in plants such as the leaves of P. pratense and T. aestivum. Pelargonidin chloride has been shown to have anticancer effects and antioxidative properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
The flavonol glycosides found in these plants are also responsible for its antioxidative properties. When tested on cancer cells in vitro, pelargonidin chloride was shown to inhibit cell proliferation and arrest the cell cycle at G2/M phase by inducing apoptosis through ROS-dependent mitochondrial damage.
