Application |
arabinose, also known as pectinose, is often combined with other monosaccharides and is found in the form of heteropolysaccharides in plant pulp, colloid, hemicellulose, pectinic acid, coniferous tree heartwood, bacterial polysaccharides, and some glycosides. Arabinose has eight isomers, such as β-D-arabinose, β-L-arabinose Chemicalbook, etc. There are two main types of arabinose industrial products: D-arabinose can be obtained by degrading D-glucose, which is rare in nature and mainly appears in some bacterial polysaccharides. Natural L-arabinose can be obtained by enzymatic isomerization of D-xylose with uridine diphosphate derivatives, and can also be extracted from arabinose in corn husk hemicellulose. |
