Pediococcus pentosaceus (P.pentosaceus), spherical cells, 0.8-1.0µm in diameter,
non-spore shape, facultatively anaerobic, paired or quadruple, a few single cells, most united once, non-
motile, Gram positive bacteria. The colonies are round, milky white, smooth, raised, with neat
edges and opaque.

Food applications: fermented meat products, fermented dairy products, fermented vegetables and animal breeding applications
