Chemical properties: The actual industrial product is a mixture of isomers, a light-colored transparent oily liquid, a boiling point of 180-182°C (0.665kPa), and a relative density of 1.002. Soluble in acetone, benzene, petroleum ether, insoluble in water. Purpose: This product is mainly used as epoxy resin curing agent for casting and laminated products. The general dosage is 120-150℃. The product has good impact toughness and electrical properties, but slightly poor heat resistance. This product is also used in the production of paper sizing agents, rust inhibitors, alkyd resin softness improvers, plastic plasticizers, ink compounding agents, leather hydrophobic treatment agents, and desiccant PVC stabilizers. Dodecenyl succinic anhydride is hydrolyzed and dehydrated under reduced pressure to obtain dodecenyl succinic acid (C16H28O4). This is an oil anti-additive. It can be added to turbine oil, hydraulic oil, spindle oil, guide oil, and cutting oil to prevent rust, and the effect is good. The production method involves reacting maleic anhydride and superimposed gasoline under heating conditions. The obtained crude dodecenyl succinic anhydride is washed with water and then distilled under reduced pressure, and the 165-240°C (0.53-1.33kPa) fraction is collected. That is the finished product of dodecenyl succinic anhydride.
