2-Fluoro-4-methylphenylboronic acid is an amide boronic acid that has been shown to be a ligand for the cerebellar uptake of D-serine. This compound has been shown to be a selective inhibitor for the hydrolase activity of the enzyme fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). It is also used as a positron emission tomography (PET) tracer in research studies on brain uptake.
