Methyl ionone has six isomers, and those that can be industrially produced include α-n-methylionone, α-isomethylionone, β-n-methylionone and β-isomethylionone. Commercially available products are mixtures of α-isomers and β-isomers.
Application:
It can be used as a substitute for violet oil and iris oil, and is suitable for daily fragrances such as perfume, cold cream, and soap.
