N,N,N',N'-Tetramethyl-1,3-diaminopropane is a chemical compound that is used as a cross-linking agent. It reacts with fatty acids and hydroxyl groups in the presence of sodium citrate to form cross-links between molecules. This reaction is useful for modifying the transport properties of fat cells. N,N,N',N'-Tetramethyl-1,3-diaminopropane can also be used as a reactive chemical in the synthesis of other compounds such as selenium compounds.
