Introduction and application of CAS 6304-39-8 | Octanoic hydrazide
Octanohydrazide is a lipase inhibitor that prevents the digestion of dietary fat by inhibiting the production of lipoprotein lipase. The inhibition of lipoprotein lipase leads to decreased levels of triglycerides in the blood and increased levels of high-density lipoproteins (HDL). This drug is used in combination with other drugs for the treatment of high cholesterol and certain types of inflammatory diseases. It has been shown to have no effect on low-density lipoproteins (LDL) or total cholesterol.
