4-Methyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-2(3H)-thione is a chemical compound that has been found to be effective in the treatment of wastewater. It can be used as a catalyst for the removal of hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and other harmful compounds from wastewater. 4-Methyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-2(3H)-thione is a copolymer that contains both elastomeric and sealant properties. The polymer's elastomeric properties allow it to be stretched without breaking while its sealant properties allow it to form an airtight seal with substrates such as metal hydroxides, hydroxyl groups, or carbon disulphide.
