Introduction of CAS:135861-56-2|Dimethyldibenzylidene sorbitol
Sodium 2[(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethanesulfonate is a polymer that is synthesized by the reaction of diethanolamine and sulfur trioxide. This polymer has been used as a viscosity control agent in industrial processes such as papermaking, textile dyeing, and oilfield drilling muds. Sodium 2[(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethanesulfonate is also used to extend polyvinyl chloride resins to make them more flexible, which can be an advantage in applications like carpets. The affinity of this polymer for water molecules leads to its use as a dehydrating agent in microscopy. This polymer has also been used as an extender in copolymerization reactions with isophorone and styrene.
