It is obtained by chlorination and condensation of o-chlorobenzoic acid. Add o-chlorobenzoic acid and benzene in the reaction pot, stir the temperature to 50-70°C, slowly add sulfoxide chloride. After increasing the temperature to 80°C and reflow for 5h, o-chlorobenzoyl chloride was chlorinated. The chlorinated solution was added to benzene containing aluminum trichloride at a temperature of 10-20°C and reacted at 20-25°C for 5h. After the reaction, pour into ice water for hydrolysis, add hydrochloric acid, separate benzene layer, wash with 10% sodium hydroxide solution, wash with water, steam benzene and water until 2-chlorobenzophenone is obtained.
