Sodium fluoroaluminate is mainly used as a flux in electrolytic aluminum smelting, as a pesticide for crops, and as a enamel glaze. Fusing agents and opalescent agents can also be used in the manufacture of opalescent glass, as well as ingredients for electrolytes and grinding wheels in the production of aluminum alloys, iron alloys and boiled steels.
