Food grade sodium carboxymethyl starch (CMS) is a modified starch etherified with carboxymethyl. It is odorless, non-toxic, not prone to mildew, and easily soluble in water. It is used in different foods to show various functions such as thickening, suspension, emulsification, stabilization, shape retention, film formation, puffing, preservation, acid resistance and health care. Its performance is better than that of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and it replaces CMC. Best product.


Food grade sodium carboxymethyl starch is widely used in milk, beverages, frozen foods, fast food, pastries, syrups and other products. In addition, CMS is physiologically inert and has no caloric value, so it can be used to produce low-calorie foods with ideal results.
