Furfuryl glycidyl ether (FGEE) is a reactive chemical that is used as a cross-linking agent. It can react with multiple targets, such as metal surfaces, diols and polymers. FGEE is used to prepare a thermoreversible polymer film for use in the treatment of cervical cancer. The polymer film is prepared by reacting FGEE with an amine, which reacts reversibly with the hydroxyl group on the polymer backbone.
