Introduction and application of CAS:26125-40-6|POLY(1,4-PHENYLENE SULFIDE)
Polyphenylene sulfide is white to slightly yellow powder, with a glass transition temperature of 150°C and a heat distortion temperature of >260°C. It has high thermal stability and can be used continuously at 280°C. It is self-extinguishing. Excellent chemical corrosion resistance, stable to organic alcohols, ketones, acids, esters, aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons and inorganic acids, alkalis, and salts. Soluble in chlorinated biphenyls, insoluble in most solvents below 170°C. It is an insulator itself, but it can become a semiconductor after oxidation or doping.
