It appears magenta in concentrated sulfuric acid, and turns to lavender with precipitation after dilution; it appears brown in concentrated nitric acid.
Suitable for dyeing and printing of silk, wool and nylon. Weak acid purple N-FBL can be used for dyeing of wool, silk, nylon and wool blended fabrics, and can also be used for direct printing of wool and silk fabrics. When used to dye wool and other fibers in the same bath, the color of nylon is similar to that of wool, silk is lighter, polyester is slightly stained, and cellulose fiber is rarely stained. This product is mainly used for dyeing semi-finished wool products such as loose wool, tops, hanks and cheese yarns. It has a bluer color, high color yield, and good dye fastness, and is suitable for dyeing medium to dark colors. It has poor level dyeing properties and is insensitive to chromium salts. It can be used to match colors with acidic mordant dyes or to adjust the color light.
