- Xanthine nucleosides can be used to increase the yield of caffeine produced by fermentation of recombinant Corynebacterium glutamicum. The method uses a constructed recombinant Corynebacterium glutamicum as a strain for fermentation and production of caffeine. During the fermentation and culture process, a certain concentration of xanthine nucleosides is added to the Chemicalbook fermentation, and the recombinant bacterial cells are permeabilized by pressurization to promote the recombinant bacteria to absorb the substrate xanthine nucleosides, thereby increasing the fermentation yield of caffeine.
