Introduction and application of CAS: 74-94-2 | Dimethylaminoborane
It is used for the reduction of electron-deficient aryl toluenesulfonates catalyzed by nickel. The catalyst is composed of Ni(PPh3)2Cl2 and PCy3. Dimethylamine borane is a good reducing agent and an alkylation reducing agent for proteins. Compared with sodium borohydride, it has the following advantages: mild reduction, can be used in a wide range of pH values, and is well soluble in water and organic solvents.
