1. Application in the food industry. According to the Hygienic Standard for Food Additives of the People's Republic of China GB2760 (04.007), tert-butylhydroquinone (TBHQ) can be used in oils, fried foods, dried fish products, biscuits, instant noodles, etc. Used as antioxidant in quick-cooked rice, canned dried fruits, and pickled meats, the maximum usage amount is 0.2g/Kg.
2. Application in chemical and pesticide industries, it can be used as an intermediate for dyes and pharmaceuticals and a stabilizer for pesticides.
