Benzalkonium chloride is a cationic surfactant, belonging to the category of non oxidizing fungicides. Easily soluble in ethanol and acetone. Although the dissolution rate in water is slow, aqueous solutions are easier to treat and are still preferred. The aqueous solution should be neutral to slightly alkaline, with a color ranging from colorless to light yellow. When the aqueous solution is shaken, it will produce foam. In the concentrated solution, it has bitter taste and light almond taste.
